Eukanuba and FCI - Partnering to ensure a dog's best start in life

The FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) and Eukanuba signed a cooperation partnership in 2006 to provide dogs globally with the best start in life and allow them to live their lives to their full potential. Another important element of this cooperation is joint work on preparation and raising awareness of the highly regarded Eukanuba World Challenge.

Mr. Hans Müller, FCI president commented on the partnership: "Breeding of dogs is subject to high quality standards in order to keep the breeding lines as healthy as possible. We believe that premium nutrition plays an important role in ensuring the optimal growth and development of a dog. A partnership with a premium pet food manufacturer like Eukanuba allows not only our organization, but also the wider breeder community, to benefit from key insights in premium nutrition. The partnership also allows FCI to benefit from Eukanuba's communication expertise, reaching many more breeders than it is currently able to do."

Nutritional Knowledge

The Eukanuba and FCI partnership is focused on bringing nutritional knowledge to the breeder community, allowing for better understanding of the benefits premium nutrition can bring to pregnant dogs and their pups and how premium nutrition can benefit show dogs to deliver their best performance. In this task Eukanuba and FCI members cooperate on several projects, which involve: breeders' seminars, continuing education programs for judges and development of educational materials for breeders.
